A Hand to Hold in Deep Water Free Audiobook Download by Shawn Nocher
When two people are deeply in love, they can often be prey to the vagaries of fate. When one's envisioned future is threatened--or even worse, when their loved one is abducted--the bond between them becomes stronger than ever. For Elizabeth and Blake, these were such situations. Blake had been abducted by a man hellbent on destroying his life; Elizabeth had never been so scared in her life. As they battled to retrieve him from the clutches of this terrible man, she found that Blake needed something more than mere physical strength to win his freedom back--something that only she could provide for him.
When a woman on the brink of losing her husband commits to her faith, she is faced with a life-changing decision.
In the fifty-minute audiobook, [Elizabeth Evans] describes one of her earliest memories as a five year old in a campsite with her parents. She remembers watching from the grassy area as all of the other campers ran to form a circle and chant "hoot hoot." Eventually, she joins in and chants along with them.

The story is told in a third-person point of view, but the protagonist's name is never given. "There was a hand to hold - in deep water" seems like the most important sentence and an opening line that could be taken literally. The protagonist adulates her late husband, who died unexpectedly due to drowning so she goes on an adventure of sorts to find solace. She travels alone through southern France and Spain where she finds herself connecting with nature and taking some time for herself after her husband's death.
In a desperate, life-saving moment, Jules takes her son from a sinkhole and into his arms. She tries to calm him down, but he's inconsolable. The two of them cling together in the dark as Jules falls apart in grief.
