A Game of Fear is a gripping, fresh and suspenseful crime thriller. Charles Todd creates a moody atmosphere, so you are on edge for the entire story. The book is about the life of Kate Shugak and her involvement in solving a mystery that has been plaguing her community for some time. There's a lot to like about this book, but one variable that was bothersome to me was narrator Simon Vance's voice. It wasn't bad, just not what I expected from the Simon Vance narration style
