The book begins with her talking about her background and how she went from not liking school to being one of their most popular teachers. She talks about how she found herself becoming a chef, zookeeper and even a superhero because of how much happier and fulfilled she was when she changed herself to be what she needed. The audiobook download is by Sharmila Devar who did an amazing job narrating this story!

The book, Yasmin in Charge, is a short and funny urban fantasy novel. The premise is that sometimes people make mistakes when they're born and you never know what to expect from them because of it. It's about a young woman who wakes up on her death day and discovers she's an immortal super heroine with the power to change herself into other people at will. To make matters worse, there's also time traveling snake guys who are trying to kill her. Throughout the story she learns how to become her new self, which I won't spoil here.

With a title like that, you know this book is going to be special. When I heard about the audiobook version of Yasmin in Charge by Saadia Faruqi, I couldn't wait to get my hands on it. What an amazing story!
