The people are quirky and the setting is eye-catching: outside of the story, I enjoyed this audiobook because I have been to St. Petersburg once and loved it. In the story, you see how Mason Lloyd's friendship with Kendall Taylor changes when they both decide to leave their small area for different careers only to find themselves drawn together again after one strange occurrence.

Admittedly, I have the worst personal interests in books. I love self-help and memoirs which are normally not my favorite genre's but this audiobook turned out to be a refreshing change of pace. Whiskey Neat has an intriguing story that is full of twists and turns. Each chapter was written by a different author with their own perspective on the story. While it can be read as a stand-alone, this book is best enjoyed when listened to in order because it creates a greater depth of understanding

Whiskey Neat is a college romance about two people meeting for the first time, about getting to know each other, and finding out that they have a lot more in common than either one of them thought. Whiskey Neat is perfect for someone looking for a quick, engaging read.
