Waiting for Morning is a novel by Karen Kingsbury that tells the story of an anonymous woman waiting in line at the hospital to give birth to her first child. This audiobook download was narrated by 'Barbara Caruso.' While listening, it feels as though you are right there with this woman and can feel the pain, joy, and love she is experiencing while waiting to meet her child.

Waiting for Morning is the first book in the Redemption series. The narrator, Barbara Caruso, is a perfect fit for this story. Her voice is even-keeled but with a subtle twang that makes listening extremely easy. At the same time, you can't help but feel emotionally connected to her and all of the characters as they slowly grow up and are faced with difficult choices they would have never anticipated.

The morning the world goes dark is one I'll never forget. With the glass shattered and my bones broken, I was alone in a hospital room, waiting for the sun to come back out. It's been two years since that night, but I still find it hard to believe that humanity has survived.

After losing her parents, a young girl named Jenny is sent to live with her grandparents. The journey isn't easy as they are not open minded and don't want a female to stay in the house. Her grandfather is especially hard on her and she tries reasoning with him but he doesn't listen. One morning during breakfast, she heard a voice that stopped everything and told her everything was going to be okay. That voice led her to believe that the spirit of her father was watching over them from heaven.

The story is about a woman who's waiting for the morning to come, knowing that it will bring with it many changes both good and bad. The title of the book refers to how she waits with hope and openness, not because she wants any particular outcome but because she knows that good things are worth waiting for.

Karen Kingsbury's Waiting for Morning is a heartbreaking novel about Will, a 17-year-old who was diagnosed with cancer when he was 14. Will has been flying across the country to different chemotherapy treatments, and he's finally settled in upstate New York. Despite his best efforts to stay positive, Will feels like the cancer is taking over his life. One day, he wakes up and realizes that it's Christmas morning. He goes on a walk around town in a daze until someone asks if something is wrong. This person takes him home and takes care of him until Christmas Day. The stranger tells Will that before she died her husband gave her $10,000 so she could help children in need during the holidays. Hearing this story inspires Will to continue fighting even though he knows he might not make it through his treatment without his mom's financial support.
