His voice is appealing, but not toddler-friendly like many audiobooks that have been recorded. The narrator also includes sound effects and sometimes music to really add depth of character and scene to the story.

The story follows a young woman named Lina. She has been sucked into a world of dreams and death, where she must face the evils of her past to save her future. When Lina's entire life is threatened, the only person who can help her will put everything on the line for her. The narrator, Daniel Thomas May, does an amazing job with his vocal narration. To give you an idea, he switches in between characters. Speaking as Lina at one point and then back to him when speaking as someone else.

The main character is a 15-year-old girl named Sol, who is the daughter of the chief justice of the High Court, who must investigate a murder in her home village after her father is killed. The girl must work with an old professor to find out who killed her father and why. With their help she learns about warlocks and witches and that she has superpowers that can be used for good or evil.

'Daniel Thomas May' is the narrator of Viridian Gate Online: Inquisitor's Foil. He has a British accent and he reads the audiobook with enthusiasm. This book is the first in a series and this is the beginning of who 'Daniel Thomas May' will become as he travels through his journey to find out what happened to his friends.
