Traitors Among Us Free Audiobook Download by Marsha Forchuk Skrypuch
Traitors Among Us is a gripping thriller and a page-turner. It has the feel of a movie, but it's also quite unique in that it focuses on the personal lives of its main characters who are CIA agents. There's never any confusion as to how things will turn out because the author does not take any side.
The story is about a family of five children in the Pacific Northwest. One day, their parents go away for a couple weeks of vacation. They are left to fend for themselves with no idea when they will return. Suddenly they realize they are being watched, and told that if they make contact with their parents, things will be bad for them. What follows is one of the most suspenseful children's stories I have ever read.
The United States of America is divided into fifty states. In each one of these states, there is a group that has been deemed 'traitors' and have been placed on the wanted list. They are people who have betrayed their country and are considered to be enemies of the state.
Melodrama and romance are the main themes in this book. This novel tells a story of two politically motivated lovers who love each other deeply despite their different beliefs. An FBI agent is hunting down an extremist terrorist that threatens to kill thousands if they're not caught before he can detonate an explosive at a crowded concert.
In "Traitors Among Us", author Marsha Forchuk Skrypuch provides a vivid and intriguing picture of how the world may be when it is run by corporations-when everything, including government policy, is dictated by money and profits. This dystopian future may not be so far away in reality as we might believe.
This novel is set in 1836, during the height of the Second Seminole War. In many ways, it's a story about loyalty and family. It begins with a blizzard that diverts the Florida Company's convoy to an unfamiliar location. The soldiers stationed there are loyalists to Spain who have been fighting against US encroachment at the time. The soldiers capture one of the company's soldiers, Finn Toddy, who they believe is an American patriot posing as a Spanish soldier. When he reveals his true identity and allegiance, he is hanged from a tree as an example for all others not to follow in his path of treason.
