The first is The Wolves of Winter and it is about a New Orleans Vampire King and Queen who notice that their mate has been murdered, with one servant escaping to tell her story. They set out on a journey to find her killer, and take down any enemies who stand in their way. The second book is The Wolves of Midnight, which is about a vampire who comes from the snowy woods of Northern Europe to New Orleans to find his lost father, but everything gets turned upside down when he falls for a human woman who turns out to have more advantages than he does.

The Wolves of Midwinter: The Wolf Gift Chronicles was a great read and I wasn't disappointed with the narration. There were many stylistic choices that were made, and some of them I did not like but the narrator was able to keep a strong momentum so I didn't become too distracted by these choices.
