The War That Saved My Life Free Audiobook Download by Kimberly Brubaker Bradley

In her memoir, The War That Saved My Life, author Kimberly Boyer Bradley tells the story of her experiences in Bosnia during the war. It was a nation torn by ethnic strife and as tension escalated so did the number of people killed by violence. When Kimberly's husband decided to run for public office in the US he knew it would put them at risk but he felt that if he could make a difference, it would be worth it. By following their dreams together they were able to survive and ultimately thrive while their family watched from afar.

The War That Saved My Life is a true account of the Battle of Iwo Jima. It tells the story of what it was like to serve as an Army nurse on the island. It also describes how nurses were not allowed to be present during battle and their struggles when they tried to apply for recognition after they had seen the carnage of war.

This audiobook is a fascinating story of one woman's life during World War II and the role she played in changing the lives of others. It reveals how different people reacted to wartime conditions and how those reactions shaped their personalities, as well as their fates. I really enjoyed this book, it was a great escape from reality.

Kimberly Brubaker Bradley! I just love her! This is the perfect audible to match one of my favorite books. The narrator's voice is perfect and really made me feel like I was on a mission with Kimmy and Zach!

In 1993, after 25 years of marriage, my husband was killed in a senseless accident. The following year, my first son was born nine months later and instantly changed my life. When I couldn't find any support in the community, I turned to my faith in God.

In the opening chapter, narrator Jayne Entwistle tells the story of her and her friends as they go to a party, drink beer, and light fireworks. The next day they wake up to find out it was a war zone in their town. There were places where tanks had been driving all around town that morning, and people had died from being hit by shrapnel from the bombs dropped. Without any warning, these friends were thrust into a situation in which everyone's life is turned upside down overnight.
