This is the fifth and last book in The Underland Chronicles, Suzanne Collins' six-book series. Gregor has managed to free himself from the cobweb of Spiketown and returns with his friends to the surface. He has found clues that help him unlock his own personal code, which reveals a map to where he can find a new home for all Underlanders.

The latest installment of the Underland Chronicles by Suzanne Collins is a great read. Gregor has finally found his way out of the dark and must fix the dangers which he himself created. He will use all of his wits, talents and bravery as he stands up for what is right.

After escaping the Queen's army, Gregor and Luxa are on their way to the lost city of El De las Muertes. They find it quickly and hide out until the time is right to attack. Two friends from the city have been captured, and they help them escape into the jungle. They travel all night, but just before dawn they find themselves in a fight for their lives.
