The Tower's Price Free Audiobook Download by Ivan Kal
The Tower's Price is a young adult dystopian novel by Ivan Kal. The main character, Anthony, is drawn into a battle that could destroy his world due to a secret war between two powerful factions of humans. He would rather stay in ignorance than risk the consequences of this knowledge, but life proves to be more complicated than he ever imagined when he has to leave home, steal a car and run for his life.
The Tower's Price was a great book. I liked how the author's character wasn't perfect. He had flaws and the story made me think about what it means to be a human being and worth more than just money.
To write a review of The Tower's Price, we must first ask the question: "What is 'The Tower's Price'?" From the beginning, it seems like a simple read. There's always at least one person in any room who isn't happy with their life or work, and then there's the oddball that becomes obsessed with finding out what happened on The Tower.. A bonus when listening to this audiobook is that you can easily skip certain chapters while still staying a constant pace.
The Tower's Price is the story of a man who is living on the streets, struggling to survive. He meets this woman one day and they fall in love. They have many arguments and she leaves him. Then, he is supposedly killed in a hit-and-run accident, but his body was never found. The only thing left was his car at the scene of the accident.
The Tower's Price, the first book in the series, is a grand journey and a grand adventure. The protagonist is a young lady named Serena who has just graduated from Oxford University with a degree in English and art history. Serena is now confronted with two choices: choose what to do with her life or be lured by the dark magic of the Tower of London where an ancient evil lies sleeping within its walls.
The Tower's Price by Ivan Kal is a suspenseful horror audio book. The narrator, Ryan Burke, has a deep voice and it really helps to create an eerie atmosphere. There was a lot of character development throughout this story. This audiobook is set in present day Pittsburgh, and I could easily imagine the different settings that were described.
