As soon as I started listening to the audiobook version of The Stalking on my commute home one day, I had no choice but to immediately download it onto my phone so that I could listen on my commute every day.

"I'm sorry to say that this is not the story of an innocent woman in love who's being stalked by a handsome, mysterious figure from her past," Graham says before she starts the story. It's not until nearly two-thirds of the way into the book that we find out who Graham's "mysterious figure" is and why he is stalking her.

This is a story about a single mother and her daughter, who are stalked by a handsome man. Roger Wayne narrates this story from the perspective of the stalker. It's pretty easy to guess the outcome of the story because of all the things that happen to them, but it's still nice listening to it.

'Roger Wayne' is a timid and slightly terrified man who has an obsession for Heather Graham, an actress. He not only knows her personal information, but he also knows everything about her, and the more he learns about her life the more his stalking becomes unhealthy. When Roger can no longer restrain himself from harming Heather, a psychologist is brought in to help him. Dr. Julia Polston provides Roger with therapy sessions where he is encouraged to share his feelings as they relate to Graham's fame and lifestyle with her. As time goes on, Roger begins to feel like he deserves reconnecting with Graham because of all of the effort she made in helping him. The Stalking was very interesting and I liked how it explored different reactions that people have when they are stalking someone they love.

The Stalking is a suspense novel that follows Roger Wayne as he helps his sister lead a normal life. Even though they are very close, they keep their lives separate so they never have to worry about the other one getting in trouble because of the other. The Stalking drops off the radar when Roger's sister disappears and it becomes apparent that someone wants to kill her for some unknown reason just like Roger.
