This is the second book in a fantasy series, and I'm so glad I decided to listen to it as opposed to reading it. The protagonist, Barrick, is one of the most interesting characters I've ever met. He's not your typical hero, but he certainly saves the day at the end. This book was filled with action and intrigue that I did not see coming.
