The Secret of the Dark Forest was surprisingly exciting, but at times it also felt extremely confusing. The author Vasily Mahanenko uses a lot of imagery to describe the forest, which really helped me get lost in the story. I loved being able to follow along with the narrator's voice and being able to picture everything. It was really cool hearing about what happened in the forest using sound effects and sound clips from nature.
