She has a great career playing for a local girls' basketball team and then gets recruited to play college ball where she finds herself thrust into a different world that is much more demanding and grueling than anything she's ever experienced before. With the skills and accomplishments she's attained, Kandi Steiner wants to take a shot at coaching her own team in private school but nobody takes her seriously cause she's just not good enough.

The Right Player is a story of crossing genres. Who would have thought a romance novel could be written so well? A forbidden love between two people who are not related in any manner. They were born with different color eyes and the only way they can act on their feelings is by using the internet to communicate. This is a story that will leave you hooked from page one, until it reaches its end.

The Right Player narrator Mia Madison narrated this book in a very soothing voice that was easy to follow and brought life to the story. The narration was very professional.

The Right Player gives you an in-depth look into the life of Leon Nixon and how he was finally able to get out of the game. Leon talks about his drug addiction and describes how he loved basketball so much that he would do anything to be on it. He tells how doing anything to make it, no matter what the cost, became part of him.
