This is a beautifully written story full of intrigue, forbidden love, and heartbreak. It was originally released in 2014 but the audiobook was only released in 2018. The Queen of Crows follows Cole as he investigates the death of his father. Even though this is a gritty fantasy novel, I found it to be an enthralling listening experience that I would recommend for anyone who enjoys fantasy fiction.

Set in a world where humans and supernatural beings co-exist, the protagonist, QUEEN OF CROWS is one of the most feared warriors in all of Shadow, possessing a deadly gift: the ability to kill with her touch. QUEEN OF CROWS is also broken - both literally and figuratively. The Queen's mother was killed in battle, leaving behind an infant daughter who would be raised as an assassin and trained for war, before finally learning what it meant to be a mother herself.

'Michi Barall' does an amazing job narrating this audiobook. I was in awe at how well she performed. The Queen of Crows is a great book and Myke Cole is an amazing author, so I have no doubt that this will be a favorite on my list when it finally ends.
