The Heiress: The Revelations of Anne de Bourgh Free Audiobook Download by Lynsay Sands

Fictional books make believable and enjoyable stories that you can get lost in. They're also a great way to learn more about historical times. In this book, it talks about the history of Anne de Bourgh and her life after the story of Pride and Prejudice ends. It follows her as she becomes Lady Townsend and embarks on an adventurous journey to follow in the footsteps of her ancestors who traveled on some dangerous journeys all over the world.

This audiobook follows the life of Anne de Bourgh, daughter of Queen Elizabeth I, from her earliest years to adulthood. It reveals the inner thoughts of a shy and often neglected girl who is set to become one of the most powerful women in England after her mother's death. The narration alternates between Anne's thoughts and those of her father, who she compares herself to as she watches him try his best to give her affection.

There is a lot of mystery in the life of Anne de Bourgh, whose younger sister and only living relative Elizabeth Bennet has always been curious about. Her mother passed away when she was six years old and her father had died not long after. The whole family has always been quite secretive about their family history and what happened before her mother's death. Anne's husband, who had two different wives before her, has passed on as well which means that the whole family is now reliant upon little Lizzy to continue their noble line.

In this audiobook, we meet Anne de Bourgh as a young woman. Long before she will be the mother of the unfortunate Mr. Bennet and Mrs. Darcy, she is born into wealth and privilege as the daughter of an Earl and an oil baron's wife who came to America in search of opportunity. The book takes us through her entire life in step by step detail, incorporating historical records and social commentary that really make this book stand out. As expected from a Lynsay Sands novel, romance is everywhere but there's also plenty of twists, turns, drama and intrigue as well

Enjoying an audiobook is the perfect way to listen to a book that you have missed for any reason. You can fast-forward through boring parts, and there's no more waiting for your eyes to get tired from reading.

I wasn't even sure how I found this book, but I am so glad that it did. For one thing, I think the narrator was perfect for the voice of Anne. She wasn't too girly or anything like you would expect her to be and had just the right amount of sarcasm infused in her words that made me want to keep listening. The story was also interesting because it's about a girl who is royalty(even though she doesn't know it) who tries to find out who she is and what she is.
