This audiobook download is narrated by Gerard Doyle. It is a fantasy/horror novel where the narrator travels with his sister to a place called the Grim Company. The company, run by Mr. Fothergill and his daughter, keeps the inhabitants of London alive through their dark experiments and uses them as laborers in their underground facility. They also take human beings who are sentenced to death and search for new methods to kill them before they die. The narrator finds out too late that his birth mother was one of these people because she was condemned to death but managed to flee from her executioner in the meantime, so he must track her down and help her escape this company.

The Grim Company is set in a very dark, post-apocalyptic world of zombies and vampires. With the possible exception of Frankenstein's monster, there's no doubt this book is horror. The story centers around a group of people attempting to survive in an uncaring world. So why listen to it?

The Grim Company is an audiobook about a group of people who are fighting the supernatural, these people are known as the Bleak. This book follows Jake who has been raised his whole life to be the ultimate warrior, but after being attacked by these creatures he starts to realize that maybe the Bleak have a point. The audiobook was free from Audible and instead of downloading it straight away I decided to listen to it with Gerard Doyle's narration which was really good and helped me focus on what I was doing.
