The Crystal Cave is a fiction novel set in 18th century England. It follows the story of an orphaned girl, Tom; a man who can summon spirits and create crystals, and Peter Quintus, the Earl of St Andrews. The plot involves both magic and mystery as the reader tries to piece together how the world came to be as it is.

The Crystal Cave is another book in the Chronicles of Ancient Darkness series. The story begins with the protagonist, Ruth, searching for a legendary crystal that contains the power of light. However, she finds herself lost deep inside an ancient cave, and soon discovers that the crystal is nowhere to be found. As she explores further, she meets a group of dwarves who tell her that they are being hunted by a creature called an Erlking.

The Crystal Cave is a fantasy novel by Mary Stewart originally published in 1954. It is about a young girl living in the country who takes care of her father's mine. In the late 1910s, following the death of her mother, Rosemary finds herself living on an estate in England. She is sent to a boarding school for girls that seems to be a normal school by day, but has its own dark history. One night, during a game of hide-and-seek on the grounds of the estate, Rosemary stumbles upon a hidden crystal cave where she meets Mrs. Ayres, who is waiting for her to find it. When Rosemary enters the cave and sees all of its beautiful crystals and wonders what secrets might be stored inside, she becomes interested in learning more about it.

'Derek Perkins' is the narrator and soon I discover that the whole story is quite different than what I was expecting. It doesn't have a happy ending but it does end with a legacy and hope for those who are willing to believe, trust and take action.
