The novel centers around a character who goes by 'The Sender' and she has set up a parallel world called 'the mirror.' A mirrored version of Earth, with all its resources and inhabitants, is positioned where our Earth should be. In this world there are two people who are responsible for worlds line: The Receiver, who goes by 'The Restorer,' and the Council of Mirrors.
