The Burning Page is the first book in Genevieve Cogman's excellent series about witches and magical crime solving. It has a steampunk feel, but it's much more than that. The protagonist, Charlie, is a witch on the run from her former coven and she teams up with Jack, who is working as a detective and is also hiding his own magical abilities - just one of many magical beings that inhabit London. I found myself enthralled by this world, its history, and the characters within it.

The Burning Page is a dystopian audiobook that will keep you on the edge of your seat. The audiobook is narrated by Kristin Atherton who does a great job portraying the five people trapped inside the burning building. When you're listening to the audiobook, it feels as though you are really inside the story and you can't wait to get out!
