The Boat of a Million Years Free Audiobook Download by Poul Anderson

The Boat of a Million Years is the story of one man's search for a world where people live a life of leisure. He travels through an endless desert, and meets different civilizations along the way. The problem with these civilizations is that they are trying to live like their ancestors did one million years ago. They have no society, and no technology beyond what was available in their time period.

Anderson's 1957 novel tells the story of the crew of a spaceship lost in time, and their journey to find home. The crew is unkindly welcomed by a race of beings who are themselves lost and aim to guide them on their journey. The narration by Tom Weiner is excellent, as he provides witty commentary on what these characters might be thinking while they're at sea.

In the year 200,000 A.D., people live on the earth in huge domed cities and travel by rocket most of the time. The population has grown to such a point that it's impossible to sustain life without killing off many of the other people. When one group of settlers on Mars proposes building a spaceship to take them all away from Earth, they come up against some serious opposition from an environmentalist group, who are worried about preserving life on Earth for as long as possible.

The Boat of a Million Years is a great science fiction story. Inspired by Journal of Science, Anderson wrote the novel in 1946 and it was published in 1947. The Boat of a Million Years is set in the year 2,000 and is an independent spaceship that has scientific research on board.

When the boat first crossed the ocean, it was a mechanical failure. Before long, the boat became as much a part of their lives as anything else. It had been on board since that day and now nothing could change its course.

In this science fiction novel, a scientist of the future is investigating the history of humanity's development. His scientific tools allow him to see and hear what happened on Earth's former timeline, when our civilization still existed in a time before gravity was discovered.
