Stuck-Up Suit Free Audiobook Download by Penelope Ward,VI Keeland
Penelope Ward's newest novel, Stuck-Up Suit, is narrated by Joe Arden and Maxine Mitchell. The two narrators are identical in voice and use the same voice for their dialogue. Joe is a man who was raised in poverty to be a lawyer; he only has one suit that he wears to work. Maxine is a woman who is stuck up and snobby--she doesn't even like using public transportation because it's "too common." When they meet at a lawyers' party, they find themselves attracted to each other despite their differences.
Joe Arden and Maxine Mitchell have just been awarded the position of the "Best-Dressed Couple" for their charity event. Joe is excited because he won't have to wear an ugly suit; but his wife, who's in charge of the event, has other plans. There will be a competition between the five best-dressed people, who will be picked by a panel of judges. Joe gets lucky when he picks up Penelope Ward VI Keeland's audiobook download on Audible.
When Joe's younger sister, Penelope, requests that he take her to a party on the weekend, he agrees. After all, she is turning twenty-one and it's time to celebrate! Joe arrives at the party with his date and is about to leave when a familiar voice greets him from behind. "Hey there!" It was Maxine, dressed like Cinderella herself, who ends up getting stuck-up by the car door.
In "Stuck-Up Suit," Penelope Ward VI Keeland presents an interesting take on workplace etiquette and the power struggles that can occur when people's actions are difficult to anticipate or predict. The protagonist, Meg, works for her father in his law office. When she is offered a promotion by the new boss, who makes it clear that she will be replacing one of her coworkers and not working with them, Meg becomes resentful and begins to question whether she should take the position. She also believes that there are other ways to advance her career without being unethical; however, she does not have any substantial evidence to support this. Unfortunately for Meg, things don't work out as planned.
Joe and Maxine are two friends who met at the country club in their neighborhood. They're both rich, but they don't care about material things. Joe has plenty of money, but Maxine's mom is a renowned fashion designer and she can afford to buy anything with her credit card.
Joe Arden and Maxine Mitchell, who played the main characters of 'Wainwright', narrate this audiobook. Joe Arden is a lawyer with a dark past who tries to rebuild his life by moving to Arizona, where he becomes close friends with Wainwright's son, Patrick. Maxine Mitchell is Wainwright's daughter and only child. She is not happy about her father's new job, so she leaves the family business and goes to law school. The novel deals with many different issues such as sexism, mental health issues, and grief; however it never becomes painfully heavy or sad.
