Slashed Free Audiobook Download by Lou Cadle

I love the work that Cody Roberts does for audiobooks, and I was so excited to hear about this one in particular. Slashed is a story about a guy named Dave who has been getting bullied his whole life. He keeps running away from it, but every time he does, his life gets worse. Finally, he just can't take it any more and starts physically fighting back against his assailants.

I'm not sure how long I've been sitting there, but by now I know that my wrists are numb and my eyes feel like they're going to fall out of my skull. Even though it's only a few minutes in, I've already got the beginnings of a headache and it feels like hours have passed. It's hot, too. The sun is burning down on us relentlessly and the concrete under our feet is baking us into the ground.

Lou Cadle is a 31 year old man living in LA. His life is going pretty well, but he's also restless and unfulfilled. He starts spending his days driving around in his van when one day he has to take a detour because of a roadblock, only to find that the roadblock was put there by the police to catch Lou stealing a car. It's not long before he gets caught up in the criminal justice system and finds himself taking on the case of finding a serial killer who has been targeting homeless people, leaving them mutilated and dismembered.

There are some things that are just too good to be true. My new audiobook, "Slashed", is one of those things. So what's the deal?

The story follows a young woman, Kate, who is forced to go on the run from her house after witnessing her mother's suicide. She heads to NYC and meets up with her best friend Emily, who is now living in the city as well. They plan on making a fresh start by opening a store together. However, when Kate comes back she finds herself in the middle of a murder investigation.
