The Sky Brooks series is a must read if you're looking for an easy, non-boring read. The character of Sky is a fictional character that the author created, but he's the perfect embodiment of a typical teenage boy who doesn't pay much attention in school and struggles to find his place in life. He tries to meet girls, and aspires to be a great athlete like his dad. Throughout the course of the story, he learns that life can be complicated and his family members are always there to help him through it.

This 4 book boxed set includes the first 3 books in the "Sky Brooks" series and is narrated by Jorjeana Marie. The audiobook has 8 hrs of listening time and is a compelling story that has you hooked from the beginning.

When I was looking to listen to a new series, I found 'Sky Brooks: Books 1-4 Box Set' and knew this one would be perfect for my summer reading list. After listening to the first three books of this series, I fell in love with its funny characters and relatable storyline. The narrator of the audiobook was Jorjeana Marie and she did an excellent job. From the beginning of each chapter, it was easy to distinguish between everyone's voices without having to get distracted by them changing their tone or speed.

Sky Brooks is part of a supernatural world hidden from humans. It's not that the humans don't know it exists, they just choose to ignore it and live in ignorant bliss. For Sky, being human means living with a curse--Zara, who as an immortal cannot live without her halo and it's power source which is made up of souls. Zara also has an illustrious sister named Coleen who helped create the "elusory," a machine that would help Sky stop the apocalypse that they all knew was coming. The only problem is the elusory needs a soul to operate and Zara doesn't have one because she's mortal.

The audiobook is narrated by the author, Mckenzie Hunter, and is an enjoyable read. Each of the four books in the Sky Brooks series are different and can be read independently from each other. The narration is well done in that it keeps your attention throughout and not once did I find myself getting bored or wishing this was over. These books have some intense moments, so if you are looking for something more light-hearted, these may not be for you.

The fast-paced plot will have you hooked from the very first page, but it's the narration that really makes this book shine. Jorjeana Marie does an amazing job with each character in this series and I was so amazed by her voice work throughout the whole audiobook.
