Silent Melody is a story about three women with the same fate. They all have tragedy in their past and are trying to find happiness again. There's Anne, who after a fire destroyed her family home ends up with nothing but misery and despair for the rest of her life. Then there's the young woman, Margaret, who has just been released from an asylum after having been institutionalized since she was a child. And finally there's Christina, who was married to an army officer when he died in battle leaving her with little to no money.

Well-written. I love the narrator's voice and that she does different voices for the various characters. The piano playing is a theme throughout the book and I enjoy listening to it with my family or as background music during my busy days.

Rosalyn Landor is the narrator of this book. Silent Melody is a charming love story between two strong, independent people. One of the most important things I loved about it was the way the characters talked to each other, and how they communicated their feelings. They were able to talk to one another without actually saying anything!
