In "In the Hall of the Mountain King", prequel to the Mercy Thompson series, we are introduced to Mercy as she's living in her mountain cabin with her husband and daughter. Things aren't going well though. As things get worse, a male shadow collector brings them out of their ditch and offers them his help.

Shifting Shadows by Patricia Briggs is a great urban fantasy audiobook. It has fast-paced action, steamy romance, and well written characters. I highly recommend this book to anyone looking for a fun and enjoyable read that is original.

We've all been there, waiting for the hero to finally appear. You might be sitting in a library or on the bus or anywhere when suddenly you realize that you're living in one of those moments and it's just not fair. Okay, so I'm exaggerating, but that doesn't make what happens any less thrilling. Sometimes you need to get really lost in a book to really love it and Shifting Shadows by Patricia Briggs is one of those books that has this amazing ability to suck me in and make me feel like I'm right there with her characters.

In this installment of the Alpha and Omega Series, a new female wolf is born into her Pack. She struggles to find out exactly what she is, but not before she attracts the attention of the humans in town who want to take her away. As Alex and Andrea try their best to protect her, they are forced to make difficult decisions that will change their lives forever.

This is the third book in Patricia Briggs paranormal romance series, and it's another great addition to the series. Please be advised there are spoilers in this review for the first two books, so if you haven't read either go do that before listening to this one.
