Sea of Rust: A Novel Free Audiobook Download by C. Robert Cargill

In the novel, Castaway's life is shattered when he wakes up after a night of drinking in a boat. The next morning, he finds himself alone on an island filled with rust and wreckage - no clue as to how or why he got there. He does not know if this is the dream of a drunk man who has died and been sent to hell, or if it is real.

This is a superb, thought-provoking, twisting and turning mix of genres that works as well on the written page as it does when you're listening to it. A great story with a suspenseful plot, a bit of horror, sci-fi and romance.

Sea of Rust is a riveting novel that takes place during the end of the 19th century. It revolves around three friends who get more than they bargained for when they embark on a quest to find gold in the Yukon. They're not prepared for what they'll face, as they soon come across a race of ancient aliens. The story has an ending that will leave listeners happy, satisfied, and wanting more from C. Robert Cargill's first audiobook.

"Sea of Rust" is a story about an ocean spreading sea of rust that kills everything in its path, eating away at the land. In an alternate world, humans have found a way to make the water drinkable again and travel back and forth between the two worlds. One day when a group of kids are out playing on their last day before the toxic waters come in, they get taken by surprise. The adults suddenly disappear. Even with this new found freedom, young Jack is still haunted by his parents' disappearance which happened a long time ago in another world. His main focus is just trying to survive and figure out how to live in this new land he didn't know existed before.

The Game of Thrones author and screenwriter, C. Robert Cargill's first novel comes to life in an audiobook narrated by Eva Kaminsky, who plays the lead role as Bess, a woman trapped in a town overrun with rust that devours anything organic.

The grim, dystopian landscape of the future is brilliantly brought to life in Sea of Rust. There is something hauntingly true about this war-torn world. It's a difficult world, but Cargill manages to make it endearing and compelling. A must read for science fiction fans!
