Neil Hellegers does a terrific job narrating this audiobook. Mr. Hellegers has the perfect voice for a science fiction author and he manages to keep his character's personality alive by adding subtle inflections and mannerisms that make him a believable narrator

'Neil Hellegers' narrates this audiobook in a voice that creates some familiarity with the story. Though there are some minor errors and his voice doesn't vary much, he does a great job at feeling like an old friend. The narration is clear and concise.

Kevin J. Anderson has written a number of bestselling books, including "Oath of Swords" and the "Dark Between the Stars" series. He has also published more than 70 short stories and eight novels in various genres. Now he's turned to audiobooks with his latest work, "Roll." The first novel in the new sci-fi/supernatural series is narrated by Neil Hellegers and features sound effects throughout that synchronize with the narration.

Though I was disappointed that audiobook narrator Neil Hellegers' voice did not match the cover model (which is quite a handsome fellow to be sure), he did an excellent job with this performance. He must have practiced his voice for a long time because there are no mistakes in the story. Because of the unusual word and sentence structure, there were several places where I had trouble with understanding what was said, but it wasn't so bad that I couldn't follow along.

Roll is the seventh volume in the Xanth series by Kevin J. Anderson. It is narrated by Neil Hellegers and follows Jethro, a mortal boy who becomes a centaur despite his initial reluctance. He makes friends with a jittery dragon named Sink, who agrees to teach him how to fly if he agrees to help him find his pet dragon, Dolph.
