The book also follows Ricky, a small boy who wants to be like his big brother, but he can't because of his height. One day, Ricky watches an ad on TV that shows how great life is on Uranus, so he decides to go there and see what it is like. When he gets there, he learns that the planet has been taken over by Uranium Unicorns from Uranus and they have locked up all the humans.

In this book, Ricky Ricotta's Mighty Robot is a "strong and powerful" robot who wants to use his skills to fight crime. The Uranium Unicorns are three aliens who want to kidnap the human race and make them their slaves. They each have their own unique powers and all of them must be stopped before they can do that.
