Prisoner B-3087 Free Audiobook Download by Alan Gratz
"I'm sorry, I can't help you" these are the last words of Prisoner B-3087, who has been sentenced to death. It's April 16th 2143 and he is sitting in his cell when suddenly everything starts shaking. A loud crash of thunder echoes throughout the prison and all the lights go out. One by one the doors open, revealing armed guards standing outside each door with a gas mask they have just taken off.
B-3087 is a young boy who lives on a spaceship. One day, he meets another boy from earth named Simon and they decide to build a treehouse together. The boys get into different adventures throughout their time in the ship until one day, B-3087 visits Simon's room and finds that his buddy’s gone missing without any memory of what happened.
Prisoner B-3087 is the first audiobook in a series that has been published by Alan Gratz. This audio book is about a talented piano player who has just been arrested for murder.
In “Prisoner B-3087” the protagonist, Nick, is a prisoner in a lab. He and the other prisoners have been experimented on since birth and now have special powers. One day he feels an urge to escape with his friend, but when he does things don't go as planned.
This is a fast-paced and exciting narration. Though I was easily able to follow the story, it is not intended for people who aren't already familiar with the Prisoner's Dilemma.
In the futuristic society where children are sentenced to prison, they are given a number. The protagonist of Gratz's debut novel is prisoner B-3087, who lives in a world that has been taken over by numbers. He cannot escape this world or the memories and fears that it brings back. B-3087 starts his journey of being released from his cell with the hope of being reunited with his parents. This can only happen once he completes a series of missions as an inmate, but could it be possible for him to find freedom in this new world?
