Out of all of Mary Balogh's works, Only a Kiss is the only one that I've read twice. It's not so uncommon for me to re-read books in this genre, but this book is special. The story is simple enough: Lady Rosalyn Delacourte and Lord Colin Talbot meet as children and fall in love, but circumstances force them apart. When they come together again years later, their love has grown stronger because of the passage of time and their character development. They are more understanding and compassionate with each other now, and their feelings are mutual so they finally make peace with each other.

Only a Kiss is an historical romance novel written by Mary Balogh in 1995. The story is set in 1820 and tells the love story of Lady Harriet Montford, an illegitimate daughter of a baron, and the Earl of Darnley, the illegitimate son of King George III.
