As a lifelong lover of sci-fi, I was delighted to discover John Scalzi's Old Man's War. The story is set in the near-future and follows a 75-year-old man as he is drafted for an interstellar war on a planet colonized by humans. I sometimes retire early because I'm easily bored, but this book kept me riveted to the page. The narration by William Dufris really made this audible work stand out.
