This story is about 'Kate Michaels' and her life as an editor, who's hesitant to commit with men and content with her single life. However, she has a chance encounter with 'Xe Sands'. As they talk, she finds that he's just the guy she wants to get romantically involved with. The only problem is, Xe seems to have no interest in her at all.

All of the characters in Now That You Mention It are relatively normal, not to mention relatable. They're funny and easy to identify with. Each character faces a particular issue that they have to deal with, but also has their own personality quirks which make them both endearing and realistic.

['Xe Sands'] reads with a different voice and rhythm than Kristan Higgins. I love this narrator because you can hear the character's emotions and personality that is conveyed in her voice.

I was starting to wonder if the author had a story about getting over something difficult. No, she does not. It's about living in the here and now, moving on from your past, and embracing life again with open arms.
