Jacob tries to separate himself from these deaths so he can live in peace with his family, but he just can't keep away from it.

The author does an excellent job of being mysterious about the murder and leaving the reader guessing who did it until close to the end of the book

A novella, No Honor in Death is an intense study of the power of revenge and how it can consume a man. Set during World War II, the story is narrated by an unnamed protagonist with a boiling rage that makes him feel alive. Although his rage slowly began to consume him, he was still able to function as a soldier until he suffers a terrible injury during combat with the Italians and is evacuated back home. The protagonist's wife dies tragically soon after and the final straw is when he finds out that his commanding officer had taken the medal she was awarded posthumously from her grave.

"No Honor in Death," by Eric Thomson, is an audiobook which took the world of crime thrillers and made it all seem so real. The narrator, a childhood friend of the protagonist, becomes involved with the criminal world; while he is doing this, he receives constant encouragement from his friend to help him continue on his path to become a career criminal.
