The main character starts her life as a struggling mechanic, but after finding out that she has the ability to hear people's thoughts, she becomes somewhat of a celebrity in her small town. Shayla Black writes with such vivid detail that you'll feel like you're walking down the street with Lexi and seeing the world through her eyes.
