The Gothic thriller was an entertaining read from cover to cover. The audiobook was easy to listen to, and I believe that made it a lot more enjoyable because there were no distractions while I listened.

[Shiromi Arserio], the narrator of this audiobook, is a good fit for this book. She has the power to pull you into the story on the first page and keep you there until the last. Her voice allows you to become immersed in the world and characters that are created with beautiful prose.

This is an audiobook that tells a story of a high school girl who's life changes when she moves to a new town. There she becomes friends with a group of kids in her grade and goes on adventures, learning about herself and the mysteries surrounding her town.

When Bree Davenport becomes a new student in the small town of Bella Pest, she's not sure what to expect from her new school and her new classmates. All she knows is that it feels like she doesn't belong anywhere, and until she meets the mysterious Katerina Martinez, no one ever listens to her.

The audiobook is narrated by Shiromi Arserio. This was not the narrator's first time narrating a book, but it was her first time narrating a novel. She loved it, and said that it was one of the most challenging projects she had done so far.

The protagonist Katerina Martinez is a high-school senior who begins to suspect that she is in fact part of a society of people who were saved from death and given a painful memory in which they were told they would die by the end of their senior year. The story follows her journey of exploration and discovery as she discovers her true identity, learns more about who she really is and what has happened to her.
