The team is to steal technology, an aircraft, and people from China but things go wrong when they are captured. They are able to escape and make it back to the US with their lives but not without consequences.
Lines of Departure is a political thriller by Marko Kloos. This audiobook follows the lives of two separate people, and how their decisions eventually collide. The book was originally published in 2016, but sounds like it could have been written yesterday. Luke Daniels narrates the audiobook, providing a really interesting experience.
The audiobook narrator, Luke Daniels, does an excellent job of voicing all the characters. I especially liked his performance as a clone of Leonidas in the audiobook of "The Three Musketeers." It really gave life to the character!

It begins with a government agent dying on his way to collect a classified package that he believes will end the war with China. This death leads to further questions about what has been going on and why the world has descended into chaos.
