Never has a book that is as complicated been so easy to listen to. The narrator, Amelie Griffin, did an amazing job bringing the characters and their emotions to life. This masterpiece is nothing short of a perfect storm of a novel. It's hard not to be completely spellbound by this complex tale about the nature of good and evil in Paris during the French Revolution.

The narration of this book was something exceptional. I was riveted from beginning to end, and enjoyed listening to the author's voice too. The book is quite gory in some places, and even though it can be a bit gruesome there is also a lot of humor to go along with it. For those who enjoy dark books with humor, I would recommend giving 'Inferno' a try!
