Fiona runs a pub in the Scottish Highlands that has been in her family for generations. She is always thinking of ways to improve and make it better, but there's one small thing she's never been able to do: woo the hottest guy at the bar away from his current girlfriend. When Fiona realizes her downstairs neighbor is the hottest guy at the pub, she sets out a plan to take him away from his girlfriend. But when she finds out he's an alpha male with more testosterone than any human should have, it not only makes her rethink her plan, but also puts her life on hold.

Anne's voice is like a balm, seducing the listener into her story. Her love for the Scottish Highlands and Gaelic language soars through in every word that she speaks. The narrator narrates with such enthusiasm, you can't help but be swept along with her. And the main character is such a riveting woman that you fall in love with her from the first moment she appears on stage; nevermind that you don't actually know anything about her.

Anne Flosnik does an amazing job narrating the story of Michele and her Highlander. I was hooked from the first sentence and probably listened in two hours because I didn't want to stop.

The story takes place in the highlands of Scotland where Highlanders live. It is an era filled with secrets and lives are soon in danger. Lady Fiona MacKay, who is the niece of the king and his chosen bride, must battle ghosts of the past, courtly intrigue, and a powerful enemy to protect her clan from destruction.
