Howling Dark Free Audiobook Download by Christopher Ruocchio
A wolf named 'Howling Dark' may be the key to solving a centuries-old mystery in the heart of Vermont - but for audiobook narrator Samuel Roukin, it's one summer's worth of volunteer work that leads to an audition for a new TV series. The story follows his life as he tries to figure out how to tell this captivating story on screen - from auditions to casting, from producing to filming.
Samuel Roukin does an excellent job of narrating this story. He gives it a creepy tone and makes the listener feel like they are watching the events unfold on the screen. The story is great for those who want to read horror and drama, but don't want to read anything too long or scare them away from reading any longer
When the body starts to decompose, it attracts insects. In the dead of winter, in a forest outside a small town in Wisconsin, bodies are piling up faster than they can be buried by the locals. A group of young people has taken refuge in an abandoned cabin. One of them is very sick and may not make it out alive - and the others have their own pasts they're hiding from.
Howling Dark is a horror story about a family moving into their new home, the old barn that used to house their car and go-kart track. They quickly realize the dark past of the barn when they find out that one of their sons has been possessed by a demon. The boys struggle to cope with the insanity this possession has caused, but not one single person seems to believe them.
What I love about this audiobook is the music. The music has an ethereal quality to it and it enhances the mood of my story. The narrator, like most narrators, does a great job with inflections and tone and he really makes the characters come alive in my mind.
"I have never encountered a child like you," says the man who is with baby Ruocchio. "You're what I've been waiting for." A novel about a vampire and his human son, Howling Dark is told from the perspective of the vampire, for whom time moves in slow motion and whose senses are heightened to the point that he can smell blood from miles away.
