Befriending an intriguing woman named Renee, Barefoot finds himself fighting for survival against characters that don't play nice and are bent on either destroying him or turning him into the villain they believe he is.

Home, Siege Home: A LitRPG/GameLit Novel by Eric Ugland is a sci-fi novel that will keep you engaged from beginning to end. The protagonist, Wesley Kael, starts his journey on Earth. He is hoping to find people like him so he can get back home. But when the population of Earth still seems to be a lot less than what it was back in his time period, he decides to set out for another world and make a new life. What happens next is an adventure filled with danger and intrigue that will lead you into battle as Wesley tries to figure out which world holds the answers he needs.

Eric Ugland has hit a home run with this novel. I give it five stars out of five. The story starts off with your standard LitRPG protagonist- Justin, who flees his home town and ends up in the other side of the world, but that's not anything new. What is different about Home, Siege Home is that not only does the story take place in a fantasy world where magic exists, but it also takes place in virtual reality- Justin is one of many players living within the game.

The story starts with a father and son on a road trip. They're driving to the mountains for the father to show his son how to survive in case the world ends. However, halfway there, the car breaks down and they have no way of getting home. Luckily, they meet a group of survivors who are on their way to an uninhabitable town in order to establish some kind of civilization. Of course, what's civilization without electricity? The group decides that the best thing they can do is scrap everything in their SUV and build a generator so they can power up as soon as they find anything worth salvaging from the old world. When they make it back home after finding some good pieces of metal, electronics and wood, they have something that looks like a wheelbarrow generator made out of whatever materials were left.

Home, Siege Home is an audiobook about a group of people playing a virtual reality game where they must survive in the wild. As the story unfolds, it becomes clear that this is not your usual escape from reality. With a sinister plot deep within the game, players have to fight for their lives while trying to figure out what's really happening.
