Heartwood Free Audiobook Download by J. H. Croix

When I saw this title, I immediately had to read it. The story was so good that it has been on my list for months. It is a Sci-Fi book and it is very detailed in the story. This was actually my first audiobook of the year and I enjoyed listening to it because it's narrated by Erin Mallon and Jason Clarke who are both great actors.

When a stranger to the woods comes and built a home in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains, he brings with him a new culture. A relationship that's been long absent from these hills, one based on music and dance and beauty.

Heartwood is an interesting story about a young woman, Sarah, who is looking for her long-lost grandfather. When she finally finds him, he has no memory of her and gives her a heartwood tree to keep in her yard to remember their time together. The tree tells stories to Sarah as she goes through many events in her life and both help one another through those difficult times.

Heartwood is a novel about a hunter and the hunt. It is the story of how Ireland became a place of refuge for a group of refugees from some unknown and possibly terrible event, who later come to be known as the descendants of 'The Ilse Witch.' The descendants of the witch have extraordinary powers. They are able to control animals with voices that sound like other people and use their senses to see creatures that exist in other worlds, as well as fight off dangerous creatures from our world.

Heartwood is a fantasy novel that centers around the Tree of Life and is the first installment in J H Croix's series. In this novel, Trees are sentient beings that can communicate with animals and humans which gives them power over life. When the tree was cut down, humanity was killed off with it, but then 10 people were saved and sent to live on new planets by Tree. The novel follows one of these 10 souls who struggles to find her own identity while she discovers why she was taken to Earth and what happens now that human civilization has been lost.
