Gaslight Free Audiobook Download by Dannika Dark

I was not a fan of the original novel and found it rather boring but I thought that since there were so many people who had enjoyed the book, I would give this audiobook a try. I was pleasantly surprised to find that Gaslight is actually quite good and really captures the feel of being in Victorian England. It's fascinating to see how different the story might have been if the women were the ones who dressed up like their servants and blackmailed

"Gaslight" is a 1938 novella about the psychological manipulation of an unsuspecting woman. It's been adapted several times for film and stage, but now you can hear it with your own ears. It's narrated by Nicole Poole, who does a phenomenal job with her performance to bring this story alive in its entirety. There are three different versions of narration; one for each time period that the story takes place in. She does a good job transitioning between them smoothly and making sure that the change in tone doesn't jar the listener.

The audiobook Gaslight is narrated by Nicole Poole who does a brilliant job. The narrator stays true to the original text by making the voice of the narrator sound subtly different for each character and also highlights when characters are trying to be deceptive or withhold information from others.

The protagonist, Emma is prone to blackouts. She wakes up in a different place and sometimes with a new name. She's trying to figure out what's happening when she meets her stepfather, who seems to be an all-around decent person. Everything changes when she learns that there is more to him than first meets the eye.

"Maggie was a woman of few words and I liked that about her. But she had never mentioned anything about being married, and I didn't know if she was or wasn't. Sometimes the silence around these things is more frightening than anything else."

The classic 1938 horror film Gaslight was recently adapted into a new audiobook with a fresh perspective. The narrator, Nicole Poole, has narrated dozens of audiobooks, which makes the story somewhat familiar to her. However, what sets her narration apart are her vocal effects and characterizations that made me feel like I was watching the movie for the first time all over again. For those who have been looking to re-experience this classic from a first-person perspective in their own living room, this is your chance!
