Elden Henson is narrating Rodman Philbrick's book, Freak the Mighty. It is a story about friendship between two boys that could have been entertaining and it had potential, but unfortunately it falls short when the changes in narration feel too jarring and sudden.

"Freak the Mighty" is a book about bullying and what it takes to stand up for yourself. The main text is told through the perspective of a bully named Chris who tries to go through life without using his strength and power against others, but it's not easy. The book follows him as he has to face his past bullies, who are now trying to destroy him.

"Freak the Mighty" is a heartbreakingly honest account of what it's like to be a teenager in America. The main character, Henry, is a 15-year-old who has always felt different from other kids his age and was bullied constantly while growing up. In high school he even tried to commit suicide during a game of "Truth or Dare," which is when he met an eccentric coach named Mr. Branch whom offered him hope and direction.

In "Freak the Mighty" protagonist Jack Swallows spends his summer with his single father Franklin, but when he decides to stay at Franklin's friend's house named Mr. and Mrs. Johnson, Jack meets their son King, a young boy with severe scoliosis who turns Jack's life upside down. The story takes place over a period of 15 years as tragedy after tragedy hits the family.
