Foundations is a wonderfully written Sci-Fi novel. The book follows the story of Thomas, a young man living on a far away planet in the distant future where Earth has been destroyed by nuclear war and those remaining are trying to re-create human civilization. Thomas discovers a new and secret society called "The Foundations" but is unable to join them because he doesn't have the necessary skills. However, when he saves one of them from being killed, he's given an opportunity to be trained as a foundation member.

This two-part audiobook was produced to help introduce the reader to the world of classical music. It is designed to acquaint you with the fundamental concepts in a way that's easy to follow and understand.

There are only a few reasons why I would give this book 3 stars. The narrator could not have done a better job, the story was amazing and I recommend it to anyone who likes to read or listen to non-fiction.

Foundations is a strange, captivating novel that takes place in the 1970s. The narrator's voice is both powerful and wise beyond her years and it just makes you want to listen to this book all day long!
