Forest Mage by Robin Hobb is a narrative fantasy novel that centers on the life of Arliden, an Adem warrior and soldier who has one goal in life: to join the elite corps of archers known as the Deathless. Even if it means he will have to give up his humanity. That is until he meets two people who challenge his beliefs about what it means to be human: a witch with her own long-time goal of finding her missing sister, and an active prince who's working to unravel a mystery within his kingdom.

The narrator for this story is John Keating and he does a fantastic job. He has such a great voice that really complements the story. His voice had me hooked from the beginning with how well he conveyed his character's emotions throughout the course of the book.

I remember listening to the Forest Mage audiobook on a long drive back from Arizona. The highway miles sped by while I listened as the story of three people in a fight for their lives unfolded.
