For the Record Free Audiobook Download by Regina Jennings
'For the Record' was a great story. It turned out to be a little bit different than what I had originally thought it would be, but I really enjoyed listening to it and getting to know Leah Horowitz. She did an excellent job with the narration and reading her lines, so she's clearly comfortable with this type of work
For the Record is about a teenage girl's obsession with music. She researches and invents new sounds. For example, she used a recording of her family fighting as the basis for a song. The audio book was quite enjoyable, but I think it would have been more effective if the author had used different voices instead of just using one narrator throughout the whole novel.
For the Record is Leah Horowitz’s story about her friendship with Regina Jennings and how the two women, who went to high school in Washington DC together, wound up on opposite sides of the law. A series of events leads to Leah being sent to juvenile detention for a crime that she didn't commit. When she finally gets out, she's determined to find out what happened and why it happened.
[The protagonist Leah Horowitz is a young woman on trial for killing her husband, who she believes to be a murderer. She is defending herself with the help of a lawyer, but because of the murder charge and the lack of evidence, she needs to find an alternate explanation.]
For the Record is one of those books that will not only entertain you all the way through, but it has a great deal of important content. Regina Jennings pieced together a very gripping narrative while also providing some very valuable information and advice. This audiobook download is worth every penny, so I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to read an incredible story with some really great life lessons!
For the Record is a gripping thriller, set in the near future, that takes place in New York City. It's a real page-turner and reminds me of Gillian Flynn's Gone Girl.
