Fish in a Tree Free Audiobook Download by Lynda Mullaly Hunt

No one can say for sure exactly how it happened. One day, a young boy stepped on a fish in the shallow water of a small creek that ran through his family's farm in Hungary. He couldn't resist throwing it back into the water whence it came. But somehow, being tossed there changed the fish's fate-and that of many like him-forever.

"Shelley, a 14-year-old girl who has spent most of her life in the shadows of her brothers, must step into the light when her family's fishing boat goes down."

The story follows the point of view of seven different named fish as they tell their stories in a tree. They represent different types of fish and personalities. The main protagonist is a little goldfish known as the orangey, who has nine lives and goes on his journey to save his friends from predators.

Fish in a Tree is an easy-to-read, picture book that follows a family as they fish together. The family learns what they're all about while catching fish big and small on their fishing trip.

[Kathleen McInerney] is a new voice in audiobooks, but she has all the qualifications. She’s a Carnegie Hall-trained singer and actress with a long resume of credits to her name. Her voice is clear, warm, and pleasant to listen to. The book is narrated by Kathleen, which made it easy for me to focus on the story rather than getting distracted by the narrator’s voice.

"Fish in a Tree" is the story of a family who has lost their home and land with no way to support themselves. The youngest son has found a tree house floating on the water's surface that holds some interesting items for him, including fish. One day, he decides to run away from the farm and live in this floating box--and his adventures begin.
