Desolated Free Audiobook Download by Lou Cadle

This is a great story and I highly recommend that you read it. It's very well written, it's short, and the audiobook was recorded by an excellent narrator who does an amazing job with the characters.

After the bloody zombie apocalypse, there was nothing left alive. The air is so thick with putrid rot that the sun never seems to shine. But then, something happened. A man appeared from the desolate fog and saved a small group of survivors by telling them to follow him into a seemingly endless forest. As they made their way across land apparently paved with gold, life seemed to be getting back on track. All that changed when one of the members of the group took a disliking to another man in their group-a man that had no hope for survival in this "new world". It all came down on this unsuspecting guy and he was brutally murdered right before the eyes of his compatriots.

JD Robb is one of my favorite authors, but my recent audible download, the Desolated by Lou Cadle audiobook download, did not turn out to be that good. I enjoyed the story for the most part, but there were a lot of problems with this audible version. For example, the audio quality was horrible and unpleasant to listen to and it was poorly edited.

"Desolated" is an intense and thrilling thrill ride of a novel that has the power to mix up your perceptions of what's coming next. It's a story that will pull you in and keep you guessing until the very end.

The narrator's performance is amazing. The best part of the Desolated is the fact that Cadle struggles with his own inner demons, particularly with his faith. There are many twists and turns in the story, but the narration makes up for them.
